The main component of natural ecosystems is water, an element of nature, fundamental for sustaining and reproducing life on the planet; it is the foundation of life: a crucial resource for humanity and for the rest of living beings. Water contributes to the stability of the functioning of the environment, of the beings and organisms that inhabit it, therefore, it is an indispensable element for the subsistence of the animal and plant life of the planet.
When we talk about Ecology we refer to the scientific search of the human being to know its natural environment, what place it occupies in it and how to ensure its conservation. As long as the indications received through Ecology are taken into account, the subsistence of nature can be guaranteed.
The demographic and economic growth, the historical absence of conservation criteria and sustainable use of natural resources, the growth of water demand regimes in the region and the contamination of the liquid have significantly generated their scarcity. This leads to competition for the resource, which is exacerbated in years of drought, leading to conflicts that affect the communities in their current development and negatively impact their future viability. Therefore, the control, rational use and preservation of water at the levels: Global, National and Local are strategic for the development of communities and the protection of the dignified life of human beings.
Water and water resources management have become a global priority. The UN emphasizes the need to establish an economy that favors sustainable development and at the same time protect and improve the world’s natural resources. Water is increasingly recognized as a central pillar of the economy because it is inserted in the midst of all aspects of development: food security, health, poverty reduction and as a support for economic growth in agriculture, industry and the generation of energy.

International commitments that incorporate the environmental dimension constitute an opportunity to strengthen, articulate and give consistency to public policies in a way that facilitates the management of the environmental component in a strategic way in the global development process. In this way, the environmental component would contribute to improving competitiveness, reducing poverty and improving the quality of life of the population. Our commitment in EIRSmx is to promote the sustainable development of societies, through actions that respond to sustainable environmental planning and management
